Spring Green Fat Bottom Bag
Finished this one the other day. This time I was smart enough to put a cell phone pocket in the lining. These purses aren't large but they're roomy enough that I can't get to my cell phone fast enough. I also finished the lining of the Paton's SWS fat bottom bag. Not only is there a pocket for my cell phone but one for my iPod Nano as well. I got the fabric at JoAnn's at 40% off the other day. I think I paid 99 cents for 1/2 yard. I have enough left over for another project and I bought another print that is an eggplant purple with tan that I plan to line a tan bag. I'm not sure that it will be another fat bottom just yet.

All your bags look great. I went to the library and checked out the book, but don't know when I will get to try the pattern.
ReplyDeleteI certainly am not as fast as you with the bags and I think my "pattern" is just a bit different -- I am using a half double crochet and decided to use Red Heart as a test yarn as the cotton that I eventually want to use is a bit expensive. I have the bag part done, but now must go hunt up something for handles -- I will post a picture on my blog as soon as I am back from holiday, next week, I hope...
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, I'm using the hdc stitch as well. I didn't even know what a herringbone hdc was, and now that I do, it's just too much work. There are a lot of people just doing the hdc and their bags all look great! Can't wait to see yours. I just love seeing how everyone interprets this pattern. So exciting!
