For my kitchen table

I finished these placemats yesterday (I made 4 of them) and whipped up these coasters and trivet today. I just don't feel complete unless I sew something every day. I used to feel this way about knitting and crochet. I know I will get back to those but for now I just need to feel the instant gratification that sewing provides. However, the other night, I sat in bed and crocheted a coffee cup cozy because I just felt the need to touch yarn. Weird, huh?

Not weird at all. I need to touch yarn every day or I go nuts. I get jittery. Feeling the need to create something every day is human, I think. And your table setting is lovely!

Oh boy, I think we must be trading spaces! I have been occupied by the ripple afghan for a month or so and crocheted a bag, that I keep meaning to throw in the washer to "felt", and am also knitting toques (caps) for a school teacher up north who teaches on a reservation and the kids never seem to have enough scarf, mitts and toques for those cold winter days -- BUT I do have two quilts in progress in my head -- not actually started but thinking about them...So I am sure I will be quilting again within the month.
